Production Team Leader

Location: Coventry
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 + bonus and benefits

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for driving performance, motivating teams, and ensuring top-quality production output? We're looking for a Production Team Leader to join a dynamic and fast-paced team based in Coventry.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of the operation - leading by example, coaching team members, and making real-time decisions that ensure safety, efficiency, and excellence on the production floor.

This role is working on a 3-on-3-off night shift basis (6pm - 6am).

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing effective management of the production operative team ensuring consistent results throughout the shift.
• Be accountable for productivity, cost, safety and quality on the shift.
• Manage the allocation of staff resources effectively at the start of shifts.
• Monitor performance on an hourly basis and identify any areas that need addressing at short notice.
• Provide clear communication at the start of each shift so that production teams are focused and achieve results.

Key Skills / Experience:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced production environment is essential, this might be in a food or FMCG context.
• Previous experience in an automated production environment is desirable.
• High drive to continuously improve and optimise operational performance.
• Strong team leadership skills.
• Good understanding of the health & safety requirements related to working in a production line environment.
• Be comfortable reporting to other managers on shift performance and issues that affect it.
